So today i actually had some time on my hands since i had come down with food sickness (called in sick) i had read some various other forums that were constantly complaining about the loudness of the Etek3 ,well i figured id take a hour or so and see what i could come up with so i basically did this by ear so its not so technical so doesnt expect NASA type results...
So what i did was try out a Lucky 14 inch barrel 1st and i really liked the mill work on it and it really did seem to have a lot more porting than the stock 1 when it came to the sound test id say it was way more quiet that the stock it had more of a ping ping sound (really liked it )

Next was the Shaft 3 barrel off 1 of my Geos ..Of course the mill work matches with the Etek3 but the thing i noticed compaired to the Lucky barrel was lot less porting on it ,the sound from it is more like a dull thud compaired to the Lucky

Next was my 2pc CP barrel this is the one i use alot for my Geo but as you can see it doesnt look good on my Etek 3 lol ,sound wise it wasnt bad kinda pfffft sound i did notice it kinda had a habit of unscrewing itself which means it really vibrates

Last up was the orginal etek barrel,this is a "OG" barrel its also a odd size of 13 inches most barrels are in set of even sizes 12 14 16 inches .Millwork looks good down to the sound factor and it held up pretty good quieter than the stock and CP but not as good as the Lucky

Anyways that was a fun way to burn 90 minutes and hopefully it helps out someone that wants to know how to hush down a etek...Go witha lot of porting on a barrel
