Thread: Carolina Computer Gaming Association

Hey everyone. I wanted to let my fellow paintballers know of one of the longest running Computer Gaming events in the southeast. The CCGA (Carolina Computer Gaming Association) has been putting on LAN Parties for the past 8 years. We are a great group of people that get together 4 times a year to compete in multi-player computer games in a safe and friendly environment. We have an open forum for games, so if you want to play it, bring it! More than likely, someone else will have the same games and give you a few fun matches.

We try to focus on the social aspects of gaming (not in the MMO aspect). We have a good time playing games and then sitting and swapping stories and hanging out between games. Most of the people on our paintball team came from our gaming association.

Our next event is August 14th through 15th.
Time: 5:00pm on Friday until 9:00pm on Saturday
Bring your own Computer and Games
100 MB Local Area Network and Servers are provided.

the events usually are in Pineville, NC which is right on the border of South and North Carolina which is near Charlotte, NC and Fort Mill, SC

Both! We are non-partial. Hell, you can come from out of state! The one in August is a multi-day event. We don't stop to sleep. Some people play for 30+ hours straight. We have prizes and giveaways at the end of the event.

UPDATE!

The CCGA crew has been discussing games for the August Multi-day lan. I can promise that we will be playing some favorites from the last multi-day event. We are also looking at incorporating some new games into the mix if they are released in time. We really need to get a count of how many people are attending, so please register using the LAN Reg link at the top of the page.
