hes a good dude and very knowledgeable. leads me to believe somethins broke beyond the naked eye.
ok thebill said you set the LPR flush with the insidelip on the LPR, last time i checked unless you were tuning it it to run at a lower pressure its suppossed to be set flush with the top of the LPR, thats the stock setting, mine is set at 1 turn in and its fluxh with the inside lip, also thats about as far as you want to turn it in as turning it in any further than 1.5 turns wont do anything
1UP BALLER
Shims in reg are stacked incorrectly.
There are 16 bellville springs (slang-shims) in the ETEK reg. Start the stack with the first one "cupped" to the base of the piston. then go up. By alternating orientation, you should finish with the last one cupped upwards. The gun runs between at 300-350 psi. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the poppet... it can unscrew off the shaft; or the brass insert in the valve itself. They can come loose and give problems. I'm working on one of these monster ETEK's now. They can be a thorn in the side...

Well...finally found out what was wrong with mine. The solenoid wasn't getting a full "charge" from the battery. That's probably not going to be your problem but that was mine...

So did they change the solenoid or the battery?

When I went to pick it up today, he showed me. The solenoid itself had to be changed. I didn't check this because I didn't have a volt meter to do so, but the previous owner had clipped the wires from the solenoid to the board and all he did was twist them back together and put some electrical tape around it. He replaced my solenoid and all is good.
