Glad to hear you guys had fun. Being a veteran of many MOUT games paint tends to be an issue and mostly not the fault of the promoter. Typically they are required to use paint that is a special mix so that it cleans up easier. None of the easy clean up paint ever seems to be great but the good thing everyone is shooting the same paint so no one has a advantage over anyone else. Maybe next time I'll be able to go along.

Alabama Mout Game

This was a great game even with the paint problems and the red teams reinsertion spot being hammered all day from the other building. I can now understand why we had to show up the night before, it made it tough for us to get there, but it made the sat morning go smooth, everybody had paint and air so all we had to do was chrono that morning and start playing. the only thing I think they should look at is give the Somali side two reinsertion basements to choose from so they dont get trapped. But overall it was a GREAT TIME.

I am usually a standup player, but this go round I've never laid on the ground soooo much. Shooting out of murder holes, over hills, and off roof tops. My back just couldn't take no more that I missed the final battle, but ended up reffing. OH MY GOD, if anyone could have seen the mayhem from a ref's view, you would have never believed it. As I watched the final battle I seen red on one side of the wall and blue on the other. The only thing I seen flying for about 5 minutes were grenades. I've never seen so many being thrown at one time. But hey, all I can say is I might have suffered a little bit of pain but you can count on me going to more mout games. Speedball don't even touch this face to face combat. I had more of an adrenaline rush here than I did playing speedball. A BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE IN ALABAMA. I really enjoyed it.

I’d like to personally say that I had a great time, one of the best games I’ve been to. It was much better organized than last time. It was my first time to General and Woody and the teams from the LA Death Bunnies Coalition brought a lot of experience and teamwork/coordination to the Blue Team. The other teams that rounded out the Blue Team did a great job of integrating in with the LA guys. I felt that our team had a good initial plan and our team executed it with precision. Even though right before the start of the game, we saw the skinnies setting up right next to our initial objectives, we stuck to our game plan.

Woody, a personal thanks for all your hard work and support, it made my job much easier. You and the Coalition were great to run with and would love the opportunity to be there again.

James, Chris, David, and all the Refs, you guys improved this game 100% over last time. I could tell the amount of hard work you had done over the last May game. Great Job!!!

Red Team, you guys put up a hell of a fight and the final token count was damn close. The battle was intense.

What I liked over last time:
  • Transportation was much smoother to and from the parking lot.
  • While the game did start an hour late, we had a full day of play. Hard to organize almost 200 people for a 0730 game start.
  • Use of helicopters and basement movement add an interesting dimension to the game.
  • The missions were great and fun trying to accomplish.

This time I only have 2 gripes (and they are small):
  • Have premium paint available for those who wish to purchase it.
  • The t-shirts were lame; I thought they would use the print from the rules cover (now that was a great print). Also, they ran out of XL size early in the day.

Some highlights of the day (as seen by me):
  • Looking up from a map at the Blue Base Camp just in time to see the CamoJester touch the netting (must give more thought to base security next time….)
  • Watching a blue player take out another blue player with a grenade.
  • Negotiating with the Arms dealer, 2 AT4 rounds for 5 tokens (instead of 6 tokens)
  • Using the Specials Ops mission card to put 12 troops on the top floor of Building B (Red Team re-spawn building), that cleared all troops on the second floor and then we dropped an AT4 down on the first floor to take that out. This pretty much cleared the building.

Bobio, if you read this… “Всегда большой бежать с или против Вас, спасибо

Congrats to the Red Team General, good shooting on the one-on-one fight in Building F.

Overall, all players on both sides played hard and this was a GREAT game. I heard of some player complaints during the game, but I have not doubt this was occurred in the heat of the battle. Both sides played straight up paintball.
I for one can say that I will definitely be there for the next MOUT game in May (rumor has it; it will be a 2 day event). See you all again soon.

Keith
