I use a scuba tank to fill my 68/4500 & 45/4500 tanks. It is too heavy to try and use the tank itself, what you are gaining by having more air you will lose on the field because you will be so slow you will be hit in no time. Most fields will not let you use a set-up like that, and are you sure you want to run aroud the woods with that much compressed air on your back? Just use your tank at home for rec play and repair of your markers. It does save me alot of money being able to fill bottles myself.

Look, unless you want to carry around four or more cases of paint along with that tank on the field, a tank that size makes no sense at all. You should only carry an air tank that will shoot the amount of paint you want to carry. If you need to leave the field to refill on paint you might as well refill your air while you're at it. Proportion your air capacity to your paint amount.

could not state it any better than that. If you are in a base or bunker right by the insertion point and have little walking to get there and can carry 5 cases of paint, have plenty of action coming at you, then this might be something you want to try. Otherwise, just fill the pods and air at the same time when you go in each time. I visit several sites and have seen a guys set-up where he uses a warp drive on a homemade backpack, able to carry 5000 balls in it. I did not see anything about his air, has to be multiple bottles to have enough air to shoot that much unless it is a large bottle and a very efficient marker, wish I could remember where I saw it, looked like a star wars fighter.
