Crossfire HPA losing pressure?

Well I noticed a little while ago that my crossfire 47 in3/3000 PSI had dropped to 0 PSI after I had it filled to 3000 PSI a few months ago. Is this normal? I didn't get that many shots off of it to begin with. Is it just a bum tank?

A few MONTHS ago? MOST tank regulators tend to leak at some level. Mind you, some are rock solid and don't leak at all. Some leak a bit and some leak out overnight. BUT, chances are better that you have a fill nipple leaking, (from the threads being inadequately sealed or the check pin o-ring leaking), OR one of the burst discs is not tight or leaking.

Fill your tank and get some mildly soap water. Spray it on the nipple and burst discs. If you see bubbling, you found your problem. If you spray it up tip in the pin valve and you see bubbles, then you know it is in the reg...

If your tank can hold the pressure for a month, I wouldn't spend money taking it to a shop for repairs. If you feel like swapping out an oring yourself, go for it. But be careful! There's a ton of pressure there, if you're not comfortable doing it, take it to a knowledgeable tech.

Oh, I didn't know that HPA tanks didn't hold air all too long. I thought they'd hold the air as long as CO2 would hold the liquid.

Erk! Sorry. Don't have a big sink in the shop to play with bubbles. Heh-heh

And Spazez... they don't. They have more places to seep/leak than a CO2 pin valve. Sometimes you run across one that holds like a safe. But it's not the more common thing.
