New Tank Need Help!
Hey I just bought a 72/3000 PMI tank off ebay for $95(s&h included) brand new in the box, was it worth the money or no? Need an honest opinion .. or should I have waited for a 4500 psi tank? I dont know much about NO2 tanks so the help is highly appreciated if you would let me know some thing about them.

Well it's actually pretty simple, once you figure everything out.
The first number is the Cubic Inches(CI) and the second number is the Pounds Per Square Inch. So you have a 72 Cubic Inch tank that can store up to 3000 PSI of pressure in it without busting a burst disk. There are different sizes of each, 45, 68, 70, 72, and bigger. And then 3000, 4500, 5000 PSI. Just in case you didn't know the basics. Personally I would have waited for a Carbon Fiber wrapped 4500 PSI tank. The hold more air, are lighter, and look cooler. Depending on the length of your arms I would get a 45/4500 or a 70/4500 stubby tank or a 68/4500. Those are the best sizes of tanks for play. Hope this helped some...let me know if you need more help.

Thanks yeah it does help .. a lot actually. I wanted to wait and get another tank but I just got a brand new Ion and I really wanted to play with it so I bought the first thing I could find. I guess I'll do as you said later on and get a carbon wrapped 70/4500 stubby (my arms are pretty long btw). Thanks for the advice and information bro .. i appreciate it!

I think it has alot to do with where you play. I have a 88/4500 and the local feild does not fill to 4500 just 3000. So. I think that also has something to do with it also.

Well the place that we get filled at fills to whereever they need to fill it too. A friend has a 5000 psi tank and they'll fill it to where it needs to be filled. So that isn't a problem here.
Brain give me some more information on your shop I've got some guys wanting to buy some tanks. |
