depends if you have a shocker and an autococker you want a adjustable so itll work on both but if you have just a shocker or just an autococker the presets are good

that makes no sense. you need a adjustable with a shocker or cocker but a preset will work with a shocker or cocker?

ok let me give you a real answer.
IMO adjustable is better becasue they tend to have a little mor eocnsistant regs (MaxFlo, A.I.R., ND Xstream, etc) and you can switch them from a HP gun to a LP gun easily and you only have to have one tank for you plethera of guns. On the flip side they are more expensive and tend to need a little mor e maintenaince. Presets aren't bad it's just they are either HP or LP... if you have an angel and a RT mag, then you need two tanks HP for mag and LP for angel. They are cheaper and i'm not saying they aren't consistant cause they are, its just usually not as consistant as a. adjustable tank.it just makes it all alot easier to have an adjustable tank if you have more than one gun or use other people's guns a lot.

thanks, but would it matter if you had gun mounted reg, you would think if you got a hp pre-set then with the reg you could reg the prussure to lp.

yes, if its a decient reg, but the more regs and such it goes threw the more shoot down, and the more distance/airspace u can put between the reg and the gun, the better because u have more regualted air reserver to prevent shootdown

The general rule is you want one adjustable regulator between your HPA source and the bolt of the gun (outlet for air). You can have more regulation but it is usually not necessary and if it is not set up right can cause problems such as shoot down and velocity irregularity. Examples: 1) Auto mag has a built in regulator so would not require another adjustable reg, so a preset can work great here with nothing else. 2) Stock Autococker/SniperII does not have an adjustable regulator so would either require an on bottle ajustable regulator or a secondary adjustable regulator in the verticle ASA or a Regulator built into the bottom line for it to function best with HPA. Now there are exceptions some people get away with a preset and no secondary adjustable regulator but this requires a little more time to set up and does not give you a lot of flexibility. |

If you have the money go with a nice adj tank.... But if your short on funds Present HPA tanks are awsome and work with almost any marker. I love my HP Crossfire, nice and light. not to big either.
