Irish, he is correct about the bulk tanks. You do need a reg. Way to not know what you're talking about.

You're correct about bulk tanks needing regulators, because they also have compressors. However, when the title of the thread is "Scuba tanks" and everyone is talking about scuba fill's, why bring up bulk stations with compressors and regulators? That's just confusing, and vague. Way to look like an ass.

you could probably go to a scuba forum and ask around for a used tank. The fill station that connects to the tank won't be more than $50, and a used scuba tank won't cost more than $150. Maybe less on a scuba forum.
A brand new carbon fiber 88cf 4500psi tank will run you about $500, which isn't that bad at all, considering it is equivalent to 5 standard scuba tanks. It's light and portable. That's on airgunsbbguns.com I also found a large capacity 444cf 4500 tank for $500 on scuba.com. It's about 150 lbs though, so it wouldn't be as portable as the 88cf one, but it definitely is a better deal. If you are rolling high, you could always get the 4500psi compressor that will run you about $5000 for the smaller home models. |
