Switching to HPA question

I am planning to make the switch to HPA for my Automag but before I shell out the big bucks required for the tank, I am curious as to how far each tank will go. About how many shots does a 3000psi tank yield vs. a 4500?

Anyone use anything AGD with HPA with some feedback?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't mind info on this too.

-I've been thinking about using HPA instead of CO2.

aight, because you have an automag you're gona want the highest output pressure you can find (about 800 PSI). Tank manufactures usually denote the HPA (High Pressure) and LPA(Low Pressure) with different colored caps. ie-red for HPA blue for LPA. So HPA is what ya want...now for tank sizes. Alot of it is personal prefference, but you will get a good ammount MORE shots off with a X/45 anything than a X/3000. It also depends on your style of play (and i know you dont play speedball but work with me here) if you play a "front" position id look into a 45/4500, its a smaller tank in both shots per fill and physcial size, then there is the 68/45 which is a good all around tank. It's realitively small (sp?) and can give off 900-1100 shots per fill. And then you have the large tanks like the 88/45, 91/45 and even a 119/45, but those are harder to find. If i were you id look into a Crossfire HPA 68/45.

EDIT: O yeah, most X/45 tanks are carbon fiber wrapped so they are MUCH lighter than most X/3ks because the 3k's are made of steel.

as far as autonomy that varies gun to gun, but my Cocker will get almost a full case of paint from a 68-4500 fill running low pressure.

I have a Crossfire 45/4500 I get about 950 shots on an autococker.

Not bad but nothing to brag about.
