well to start compressed air, hpa, nitro, and n2 are all the same thing, compressed air.
the diffrance is mostly in the way the gas is stored. compressed air is stored as a gas, where as co2 is stored as a liquid. co2 is made in to a liquid by pressuerisineg the gass until it becomes a liduid. because co2 is stored this that means that it needs room to expand and become a gas. because co2 must expand it causes valosity (sorry about spelling) to fluxuate.

hope this helps

when you fill a Co2 canister you notice how it ices over? that because of the super cooled liquid (as stated above. co2 is stored in liquid form)
when you fill a nitro, hpa, n2 (which ever is your cup of tea) it gets hot.

nitro will stay at a more constance velocity, even tho it will jump FPS a little it is VAY easyer to regulate and it is also easyer to manufactor, so if you use CO2 you actually cost the field more money (but hey they get paint at dealers cost and you pay almost double LOL)

shooting Co2 from a Vertical ASA (useing bottle as a foregrip) isnt the best idea, it dosent give the liquid enough time to boil off and form back into gas a will cause your marker to freeze up which is very annoying.
*if you shoot Co2, i reckomend(sp) a bottom line set-up with a good expansion chamber.*

It would actually be better using it as a foregrip IF you don't have it antisiphoned. Think about it...Liquid is more dense then gas, where will all the liquid CO2 be? At the bottom, meaning only gas is getting into your gun. Expansion chambers are pretty much over, Because an Antisiphoned tank is cheaper and more effective. I'd rather use the option where only gas is going to my gun from the start, than using an expansion chember to try and turn it into gas while its on its way.

CO2 is not a cold liquid. CO2 turns into a liquid whe nit is compressed, and that's the way it is stored in the tank. When CO2 expands from a liquid into a gas, it uses heat. Suck all the heat from it's surroundings (the marker, tank, reg) and all that gets cold.
