Alright guys talk me into it
Well I'm fixing to take a break from scenario play for a while and mainly play some rec ball on and off so I can get my finances in order. I have my Ion now which I love and my Shocker which I like alot but it is a horrible gas hog and I'm mainly looking to downgrading to a mech. As most of you may know I can NOT touch a cocker. I love them alot just they don't love me. I'm not really looking into a pump b/c they are fun to play just they aren't really me. And tippys are out of the question b/c they are just so big and heavy. So that leaves mags.
I tried to trade for a Tac-One once and it went to hell, we just couldn't get anything tuned right so I sent it back. All the mag owners say thats a fluke and tell me to try another mag. So guys talk me into it. Pros/cons. |

hehe, all is good. Mags are simple and elegant. If you have any mag questions just ask me or skeet. We can talk you into the drivers seat
![]() I like knowing I can hit what I aim at. Thanks to mcarterbrown.com the new nickname for my mag is "Dumpster Cat" and that makes me laugh so hard it hurts. -Geoff Call

Well I'm still gonna play no matter what just not scenarios for a while. Can't afford the traveling costs. Plus pumps are fun just not really me. Plus when I wanna really shot I can't do that with a pump.

Hi Rembrandt,
dont forget the Mag loves the Air. Its a Gas Hog. You need a 4500 PSI Tank and then you need to fill it up very soon. Ill get around 700 Rounds out of mine. You know my Vertical Feed Mag dont You???? I love them to death but Gas Hogs. Drop me a PM if you want to know more... |

Not sure that I agree that Mags are gas hogs. This is more of a factor that they run on high pressure, and you can't utilize the remaining air in your tank once you are below about 750-800 PSI. You should actually get about the same number of shots (compared to an Ion, Shocker...) out of the same tank from 4500 PSI down to about 800 PSI. I have tried this comparison with my Angel, and it holds true for me.
The advantage for some of the low pressure markers is that you can get a bunch more shots from 800 PSI down to 250-300 PSI. The Mag is just unable to utilize that pressure range, where others can. |
