I think ralph told me they were coming out with an entire new line of markers and they were going to completely stop making their existing ones?

I've heard something like that. They have stopped the e-mag and were going to try something new. I'm sure though they'll support the traditional Mag for a good long while. I really do think Smart Parts and the Federal Government have screwed things up but the market will sort it all out in the end. Who knows we might be back to using slingshots who knows.

Ya know, I've thought of hitting the field with a slingshot for novelty purposes. That or my VM-68.
Yep, the news I've heard was that Tom Kaye is stopping the line, and will develop something new. No idea if it will be based on the same principles as the mag or not.
BTW, has anybody heard of the Deadly Wind Trigger?

Yes i have heard of the deadly wind trigger. Less than 1/16 on and inch pull and reasonable light pull. There are videos of it on the web but i can't remember where it is. Tom kaye is looking at the technology but he is have a hard time figuring how to put a saftey on such a small pull. stoping a trigger moving 1/16 of an inch is hard. Since most guns w/ the trigger pull that small are electronic it is easy to control because they can just shut off power to the board/microswitch. Since it is manuel it makes so many for problems

They stoped making the e-mag because they didn't want to have to deal with smart parts. They just stopped production before SP started to file a law suit against them.

It appears they are headed in the "mechanical" direction and getting away from electronics of sorts. I found this post at warpig:

I have heard that Airgun Designs quit making autoMags & Minimags. I have visted airgun.com and didn't see them on their product page. Is it true?

John

Yes, that is true. AGD is still manufacturing the Tac One and RT Pro, as well as accessories like grip frames ULE trigger mods, Level-10 bolts, etc. The Flatline air system, Automag and Minimag have been discontinued.

On Airgun Designs' forum site, Automags.org, company president Tom Kaye has made statements that the company is taking a look at which direction to head next in terms of new products, especially with concerns to recent patent issues between various manufacturers. He has also stated that much of their marketing focus in the near future will be on the scenario paintball market.
