AKA introduces the SCM-III

As a result of our continued search for increased performance, we are introducing the new SCM-III for Excaliburs/Vikings; Merlin/Cockers; Bushmasters; Matrix, and Intimidators. The new re-designed internals result in higher air-flow, tighter Consistency, eliminate creep and increase reliability. The new SCM-III™ is now available to ship from AKA. The SCM-III™ so radically improved that it deserved new part numbers. They are:

980 – Excalibur/Viking
981 - Merlin/Cocker
982 – Matrix
984 – Timmy
985 – Bushmaster

To celebrate the release of the new SCM-III™ the retail price has been lowered to $50. The SCM-III™ for other markers are on their way. Call your local paintball shop or one of the distributors on our web page. They will also be available on our on-line store. A combination of the new 2-Liter +™ and the SCM-III™ makes your marker as consistent as it can be. Your current SCM-1™ or SCM-2™ can be converted to an SCM-III™ . We are offering an upgrade kit for $ 15 plus a small insertion tool for $ 5. If you do not feel comfortable doing the upgrade yourself, each of our 4 Authorized Warranty Distributors will have kits available and can accomplish the upgrade for you. You can find their contact information at www.akalmp.com.

I was dumb enough to actually purchase one. I havent seen any difference performance wise over a SCM 2 or SCM 1.
