What does it do?
In scenario, I have a dream of a impact sensitive cloth that sends a bluetooth signal to the marker...locking the bolt until passage back through an insertion gate. In tournament....it would be nice if a head ref could lock a dead players bolt so the drama queen can't shoot at his opponents. But I imagine it will used to send back to a computer useless information like air pressure or rate of fire......hmmmm of course if you put a mini chrono on every marker......hmmmmm |

but then if u piss the ref. off they could "accidentaly" turn ur gun off

or better yet...a self adjusting gun based off of an on-board mini doppler signal (like a hand held chrono) to an electronically controlled reg (angel air)...never have a hot gun. The signal from the mini doppler could be read on a primary screen for reffing... take it 1 step further.. a shot counter (ROF) module that if exceeded, the ref could "shut down" the players marker. Range would be limited to about 150 feet.. perfect for airball.. think it's all a "what if"...just wait and see...

Actually, I was thinking wrong. Bluetooth is only good for about 30 feet. Would need WI-FI to send gun info to a central computer.
I like the idea of an auto-reg gun. Seems like one of those hand-held chronos could be re-configured into a barrel grip or shroud. Still not sure what use bluetooth would be. Could send gun info to a PDA, but you can access info on the gun itself. Would seem redundant. |

From some of my inside sources, I have heard about this and been able to see some of the features on it and from what I have seen this thing is SICK!!!! My source has also told me that there will be a hook up for your halo to your gun so it will pretty much be just like the old hook ups with the revys and angels (forgot the name of them) except it will be wireless.

Bluetooth can only have an effective range of about 33 feet. I am pretty certain of this, so they need to invent something new in order to have some of the things yall speak of. But, hey, I could be wrong. I did like the idea of electronic cloth that made your bolt deactivate once you were hit. Neat idea! |
