Well...it didn't really go down like that...It was more like a subtle "tap out".. Discreet, quiet and most importantly...I got away clean...

medics, hospitals, tanks, LAWs etc

I hate medics..

Ive played in over 25 scenarios games w/ medics and they certainly encourage more than their share of complaints and "self medication" -

The "touch your base" and "mash unit" (and even the 5 man min rule) style of respawn accomplish the same thing as medics (getting you back in the action fast) without the encouraging the self medication aspects and all the gripes that go along w/ medics.

ie: fast and local hospitals good, medics bad.

In the games I put on, I focus on fun to play and easy to run. Anything that creates tons of gripes (LAWs, spies, medics) get dumped. And I try hard to add back things that make up for removing these "scenario" ideals: special role players (2 part missions), Mash Units & Base spawn.

And tanks/LAWs need restriction - they can ruin a game, while only adding a little bit of benefit. (KURSK being an example of how to use them well) PBC also does a very good job in using/managing tanks.

Tanks make lots of people mad... if you dont believe me, ride in one for a few hours and just take in the attitudes of the people you shoot up. These things NEED 1) excellent reffing with a dedicated ref per tank 2) restricted usage and 3) good roads - they are like habanero peppers - I little bit goes a long way.. Too much gets bad quick.

Again, Im just taking my experience as a scenario player and trying hard to keep the fun and remove the bad stuff - (in my opinion) If you love tanks - try Kursk. If you love LAWs, The Free Finale should be interesting. If you love medics - well most scenario producers use them. If you love spies: Ben is the master spy guy, and Wayne is no slouch either.
(props to Mother, White Feather, Gill, Viper)

eot..

Thumper, it doesn't really come into play with the Super 6x series, but you should talk to Brain about his utilization of air strikes. They work well and Ben used them our scenario last month. They were effective, but not overly so. There was a built in delay like would happen in the real world. Therefore they didn't instantly kill the entire enemy force, but when used properly did a good job of opening a hole in the enemy lines.

fuel air bomb .. dropped by helo?

I could maybe see some sort of timedelayed bomb droppable by a helo w/ a 150 kill radius. (would require a ref to facilitate)

rangers - make yoru suggestions..

mogs - make your suggestions to counter this - (suicuide bomber?)

that would be terribly hard to ref, and i predict a lot of player complaints in the event of this happening

I'm all in favor. Could air strikes be performed from base?

maybe via Artillary?
