I think the point Steers is getting at is not what happened but his total lack of concern for his safety etc. Stating the obvious the player should have to gone to ground, been covered by a ref, blah blah. He is displaying a total lack of concern for his own personal safety and the fields by playing on without goggles. I am positive he or his parents would be suing (Imo) if he had sustained an eye injury and this picture would be used as evidence against him, provided he had been given a safety briefing and signed a waiver which I am sure he had.
