Two-pieced barrels

Anyone know if the two pieced barrels are any good?
I hear they are quite good.
I plan on buying one eventually (Once I rack up more money)
Ummm,
Guess thats it.

Many companies make two piece barrels. Be a little more specific and I will gladly help you out.

the whole point of a two piece barrel is to "strighten" the flight path of the paintball...

the back of the barrel is tight around the paintball. while where the actual "tip" starts is just a smige bigger to allow the air that pushed the ball through the back, forms an even "jacket" of air around the paintball to keep it centerd while traveling through the tip. makeing for a more accuracte shot.
thats what the deal is behind a two-pieced barrels
also on new two-pieced barrels (dye boomysicks, ultralights) you can get different bore sized backs and differnt length tips, so you can interchange barrels..

one pieced barrels are not bad either, Warped Sports makes an AWSOME 1-piece barrel system, The Lucky 15, its a 15in microhoned barrel in 3 different sizes. its available in alot of threads....

you might want to look into kits as well (if you have the $$$ to spend)
some good kits are:
Evil Pipe
CP barrel kit
LUCKY 15
Kaner (for autocockers)
Freak (as much as i hate SP, i own one for my angel :( )
there are many more off-brand kits too....

hope this helps in your quest for a better barrel...
remember that bore size is about the most inportant thing...
oh and dont get a 21in "sniper" barrel it dosent help gas effency and its not goin to improve you shot, 14-16in is my personal prefference.

No it isn't, there are various tests and videos that disprove this. For an open bolt gun (he has a spyder) get a CP 1 or 2 piece in a .693 bore. This will shoot any paint and be just as accurate as anything else.

ok i mean dont get a .679 barrel and expect to shoot MArb or REc-sport, basicly any PMI paint, it all runs big, which would cause EVERY ball to break in the barrel. Evil is a small paint and if you have a .69* barrel it might not be as accurate i have done the tests too, and true if you get good paint you can use the "big bore" and it should be a great fit, but play on a cold day where the balls shink a big bore is gonna make the ball wobble. while on a hot humid day paintballs swell so a small bore isnt gonna work good at all....

so its all relying on where you play and the weather, try not to use paint thats been sitting in the bag for over 1mo...i try to get paintballs that are about 2 wks old.

As far as barrels go, I say the fewer pieces the better. I don't like insert systems, my Freak did not work well at all. I use a couple of two piece sets currently, if a nice one piece set catches my eye, I may pick it up.

I'm all about my freak set. I love the inserts and being able to adjust to any paint size espeically with the humidity down here. We played last Saturday and it was 105 degrees. I changed inserts 3 times.

from what i have hear, a CP set is very good for the price, and unlike some other barrel kits you can buy it piece by piece instead of all at once
