My two cents. AWESOME scenario. Ben is a grade A producer. The players were few in numbers, but excellent competitors. WE NEED MORE PLAYERS, we just didnt have the numbers that i expected. I expect for this to be remedied or at least assisted by the FREE GAME (see www.triggertyme.com). I dont think winners really matter to this game. But the victor was the German teams. I had the privellage of being XO for the germans all of saturday, and then on sunday. My call on the play by play, -----------------------early saturday germans tore it up, i never saw any americans, we were running and holding without any fighting. Later on Saturday the americans kept in the game and made the game very close again. The southern pig was good. I was reffing saturday evening so i saw missions that had the potential to be very very fun. IE each team holds buildings that are close to the other teams mission point, and then they switch. The last mission was to put out glowsticks at 4 poings and to defend them, somehow they didnt put any glowsticks at one of the places and the generals called a stand down at about midnight. Because all of the players had run most of the missions and rightly were exhausted ( i know i was)
SUNDAY MORNING. The Germans (Ie slackers motivated) blow american base to peices at the begining. Then the slackers motivated (my team) were switched to the american side. SO we play for the americans. I didnt see a lot of missions on sunday, but this had to be Hands down the best final battle i have ever had. the other team brought there insertion point down to the fire base behind the village (which was the american base) so they reinserted as soon as they were shot, as did we. SO the germans won the war, but the americans spiretedly held bastogne (the village). and i have to say again that the final battle was awesome. awards i dont remember who got em, but slackers motivated took home most valuable team for the german side. and coincidently the other slacker motivated got an XO award from the americans. if any facts are wrong, i just call it like i see it. it was a fight..
Ben is the king of cool missions and event production - no doubt. And mid event he asked the players if we could cust the field in half,. Once that was done, this event played great. Drewcif described it well. The final battle has mo less that 15 suicide satchell charge runs with every player at the event playing their hearts out.
And right as the final prizes were being awarded it started to rain - perfect timing. That you to all the players, staff, Ben & Bonnie - I know evey one put in extra effort. and thanks to those who drove in from Virginia and Kentucky. That means a lot to us. Now let me scoot and see what pics I got on my camera. Rich - can you pm me or email the ftp codes : john@hgwt.net

well let's see, i have to start byby thanking been and thumper and robby for putting this together. and special thanks to spyderman for picking up the american general post. he did a great job and it was a wonderfull weekend of mayhem and great team work. in spite of the turn out being a little low(everyone needs to keep an eye on pnjunkie to know where the games are) and the slight sauna, i think just about every had a great time.
i had the honor of being one of the german generals, along with possum, and with spyderman on the american team. as for spyderman, this may have been his first general posistion, but hed handled it well. hhe and his staff xo's, demo, and all players played their heart out all the way to the end. how we ended up on top....well we got lucky. i think if the teams, that showed and left for whatever their reasons, had stayed we, the germans may have had a much different out come. i would not feel right if i did not give thanks to the boys from splinter cell, slackers motivated and all others who we had to move from one alligiance to the other to keep the player count right. the truely fought equally hard and strong wether playing for or against me.. the paint "circuit" flew straight and broke well. the weather was a little humid and warm but not bad at all for june in the south. as for my team thanks so much for all of your energy and enthusiasm the entire weekend. my apoligies for the laguage, i know i get a bit carried away sometimes. if i offeded anyone please accept my appology. all of the germans, my guys and possums, changed history for the weekend. i have to say this is the first scenerio i have been to were all involved made a point to stay correctly chronoed the entire time. i was not every where but i did not see anyone who had to be corrected about this. that says a lot for all that played in my opinion. well once again thanks ben, and robby, for having all of us. ben hope to se you again before too long. i have to work for a bit but i will try to have that toy we talked about ready for the next event

Thanks to Robbie, Ben and Thumper for organizing a good game with some really good missions. This was my first time reffing a game and I'll tell you I had almost as much fun reffing as I do playing. One lone allied player finally broke through the defenses to take control of the German "B" base briefly to provide me with some up close action when Possum came back to get the next mission card. Possum did a great job as General from what I could see. All the players were very honest and hard working. Everyone enjoyed the dinner (maybe a little too much) as the night game started a little late, but after 6 hrs of heat and humidity everyone enjoyed a few extra minutes to rest and rehydrate. I hope Ben comes back and can put a game on with a little cooler weather, maybe we will get a bigger crowd. Thanks agian.
