After action reports!

I thought I would start a thread for after action reports. This will be for ideas, complaints, compliments, suggestions, etc.

First off I would like to say I thought the event (what I managed to attend) was great. I have never been to a field with an area more conducive for tank battles. The tank olympics were a good place to show your metal.
I was only able to attend the Saturday events up until the dinner break because I had to haul my butt to Oklahoma and get to work. For those that didn't notice, I had a trailer with all of my household goods in tow. I just happened to be moving from Charleston to Kansas City and Kursk got in the way so.....you guessed it, an extended rest period involving paintball.
The only things I would like to see improved is making the paths in the woods a bit easier to navigate with the tanks. Also, with tanks in play I would like to see each tank have a ref assigned to it. I can't count the number of times we hit something (tank/building/barracade) only to have it not be called out because a ref wasn't there to see it. From a tanker's point of view it can be tough to tell if a rocket hits the tank unless it is a good broadside or windshield shot. I can certainly understand how a tank that we hit did not know it.

unlike deep and jester I was able to play the whole event and I must say it was the BEST game I have eveer played.Castro did an excellent job at general and I am sorry to hear he won't be doing it again.Al and the entire russian side, never heard of anyone complaining about wiping or overshooting, that is a first.Germans, great job of getting the missions done and working together.I was involved in fire fights with teams I have never met before and we worked together just as well as my own team.Bob and susie, that is the nicest field I have ever had the honor of playing.Ben,as always you did a spectacular job of producing this event, you told me over and over to come to bearclaw and I am not dissapointed. Thanks to everyone!!!!

thanks to everyone that put on a great game at bearclaw. That was the first time the Knights of Honor have been to that field and we enjoyed every minute, even getting our tales handed to us in the speedball games. course the guy who begged for that game (mario aka chicken) would not even play against us. maybe we can try again to play on the same team with nitro i think we could put on a good show. anyway, to all the teams and staff, way to go, it was a clean, exciting game and the food was great.
see ya on the field, KOH

This was by far the best and most fun game I have ever played. There were so many improvements done to the field.

I loved being in the tank for the skit Friday Night, Bob did a great job with the explosives. I don't think Pigpen had a good time though he had to go to the barber and get what was left of his hair shaved off.

The tank battles were great. I had so much fun with the rest of the tank crew.

Oh yeah Junkie...Who's your daddy?.....Go on say it.....Who's your daddy?

This was the Hired Gunz 1st game at Bear Claw but it won't be the last. We had a great time. Although the hills were a bit of a new twist for us. (The highest point in south Louisiana is the interstae overpass) . The field was fantastic and the players on both teams play outstanding straight up ball. I don't think I even hear the word whip or over shoot all weekend. Most of us couldn't stay for the post game activites due to the long drive home but I would like to say thanks to everyone for a grat game and a welcome distraction from the hurricane rebuild. Hope to see manyof ya'll at the next big game.
