Thanks to the players..
From the management and statt at Triggertyme, We would like to thank all the players. The sportsmanship displayed was excellent and the battles fierce. The entire event I did not have one angry player come up to me, nor did I witness one angry player at all. Everyone seem to be having fun -- even the guys hauling the 200lb Rotund Pricilla up the Red base mountain. The game looked like a blowout for a while there as the red were slow to wake up and organize on Sunday, but when they did the game came down to a photo finish with 10 red (New Toons) blowing out and looted the Old Toons stock piled of Indian Ink and running down the road slinging 55 gallon drums into the Akme corporation perimeter as the game whistle blew for a maxmimum possible score on the final mission of the day - it turned out a little shy to win, but what a great finish. ESPN should have been there!!!!!!!!
Congratulations to both teams and all players on a great event.!!! Special thanks to Mrs. Virginia at Southern Pigs BBQ - I warned her we would be rolling in pretty hard right around 6:10pm, but dont think she really could predict or prepare for what a flood gate of hungry, dirty, tired paintballers can do to a BBQ buffet - but I know no one left there hungry. The folks of Blythewood will be talking about this for years to come BTW: She said OK to us coming back, and you can bet we will be back again and again. (85 players showed up between 6:10pm and 6:20pm saturday night.)Kudos to Robbie of Crush Paintball and his air system. The nitro players all seem to agree your system is the best in the business. Robbie also kicked in some nice prizes for our award winners. Thank you sir. Paint - most players seem to like the paint, some thought is was ok and I didnt hear anyone bashing it hard. This is something we will be taking a hard look at for the next game. And we appologize for having multiple fills and shells on the field. This was a last minute supply problem that we will work on and we also had a few players from the previous week that got rained out who were allowed to bring their field paint back - WE know this looks bad, but we promise that out hearts were aimed at satisfing our customers. If you would like to make some recommendations for field paint for future events, this is a great place to do it!!!!! and we are listening. Stump holes: We play in the woods and during scenarios we play a lot of our "back 40" on which there are stump holes that have not been filled. Players: please move slow when moving through the woods away from the compound. No one got hurt, but more than a few found out how deep a stump hole can be. We will do what we can, but this problem is one we will largely have to live with. If you have big pine trees, you will have big stump holes - that just how it works. And we have tons of really big trees. So please be carefull when moving through our back 40. see the mission by mission score here: http://www.triggertyme.com/event-200...rtoon-wars.htm we also had 14 players join the Scenario Paintball Brotherhood -- welcome new brothers. The 5 man minimum insertion rule worked like a champ and as things slowed down at times we modified it to 5 man / 5 minutes. that is once you get 5 men you reinsert to your base or once you have waited 5 minutes at the insertion point, go ahead and insert to your base. This will be used in future event at TriggerTyme until something better comes along. Mission cards posted at the compound and real time scoring: I thought this worked well, but is does make some additional work for the gamesmaster. (Thank God for my four wheeler!!!) If you played, please give us some feedback on this and compare it to other methods you have experienced. Got to skate - thanks all for coming to Cartoon wars -- hope to see you soon. we have lots of big games coming up -- sww www.triggertyme.com and pbjunkie.com for more info etc. next event: SUPER 61 - The Battle for Mogadishu - 10hour - April 9th
