I am an air traffic manager. I manage the air traffic controllers and get to deal with the politics and paperwork involved with air traffic control. At least I get to control planes occasionally, when I am not stuck in the office.

So there's not much traffic during the winter then. Just a bunch of supply planes in the months leading up to it?
What's your record heat wave? Or not so cold wave?

Last season we had around 14000 flights from August until the end of February. The record heat in McMurdo was set a couple of years ago. We got up to 51 degrees on New Year's day.
