For god's sake, someone please tell me I wasn't the only idiot who was dragged out to go shopping today? please?

FWIW, wife drug me to BestBuy at 7pm last night. yup 7pm. what's even scarier is that there was a person in line in front of me.
Interesting things to note:
Front of the line seats can probably be sold
teenagers can be rented to stand in line for you.
Someone in a 70k bmw who spoke broken english wanted to pay me to get something for his kid.... Almost felt sympathetic untill I saw his car....

C'mon, someone else has gotta have stories also...

lol

yes, i got dragged out of bed this morning....10 am!!
i was then forced to shop and pick out presents and try things on in a busy target off of a busy harbison blvd!!! that was after spending 15 minutes driving around the parking lot looking for a space and finally getting one that was only a mile and a half from the entrance to the store!! it was so traumatic!!!

i got home at 2:10pm in time to change and drive to work, where i had to be(downtown)through 25 minutes of non-busy interstate traffic by 3pm!!!

problem with getting to work on time was that i live off of harbison blvd and in order to get to the interstate i had to travel down harbison!! eek!!

it sucked...but i got presents!! which is always a plus...

One of my instructors told me his wife was out of the house this morning at 5:30 to start her shopping. Luckily I was in class all day, so as long as the bars don't have lines like the stores I am good to go.

Other than some sales why do so many people make a stampede to the malls? I will take it easy and shop after the crowd dies down.

I heard of one news report (Channel 19 Columbia) two grown men were in a tug of war over a box of merchandise. Thanks I will save my energy for Paintballing.

I hate the holiday season. Don't get me wrong, I like the individual holidays, but the commercial season sucks. Can't go anywhere without running into 50,000 people in one parking lot.
