That saddens me, Captain America was always my favorite comic hero. Even after I stopped collecting comics in the mid 90s I have kept all of my Captain America comics I had collect to that point [almost all issues from 100 (1968) - 449 (1996)]. I think I'll re-read my Captain America comics in honor of a beacon of my youth. Steve Rogers you will be missed.

They killed Captian America... Wonder if they will bring US Agent back?

Well that just sucks. I have been a Marvel fan since I picked up my first Marvel comic, Amazing Spider Man 375. I quit reading when they ended the spider man lines and reorganized them.

Anyway, RIP Cap.

No worries friends,

in the new comic Civil War: The Initiative, Ms Marvel while talking to Spiderwoman says no he is not dead he is "tucked away safe ont he Raft. No one knows. No one. They are trying to save his life as we speak."

Just like the news media not to do all the research.

You ask why did Joe Quesada do what he did well if you get to go on national tv and talk about a something you are selling aren't you going to talk about it like it is fact so then all those non-comic book people rush out and buy 4000 copies each to make sure the have the highvalue uber comic.

Then going on to marvel geek data.

has the Cap' been shot before? yes multiple times.

What exactly are Cap's powers? originally he was just the perfection of humanity, they evolved that to the point where now he is stronger than that. They also have given him the ability to regenerate like wolverine only no where near as fast(what takes wolvie a minute takes Cap a day)

The actual shot hit him in the shoulder he actually jumped to take the hit to save a cop who was escorting him, then his shield agent girlfriend(mind controlled by the red skull) runs up and shoots him a couple of times in the stomach. They claim he dies on the way to the hospital. At the same time Nick Fury was setting up a rescue attempt on the Captain. Who is to say that he didn't change his plans slightly and take the Captain during the ambulance run?

Last but not least, in the comic book world there was little to no hype leading up to this event. When they recently killed Goliath you knew they were going to kill someone and it was most likely going to be 1 of 3 people. With the Captain there was nothing of the sort to make you think this was going to happen.

And for who is going to pick up the mantle while the Real Captain get's stuff straight well the lead up has been that being the Punisher crazily enough.

hopefully this was helpful and my geek level's have just launched to untold limits i suppose now.

And by the way, Steve Rogers is the man, period. If you were ever a fan you should definetly look into picking up the trade paperbacks that will be coming out covering the whole civil war event.

civil war was fantastic,I loved every episode as well as all the crossovers.I too have just read the initiative and it is true cap is not truly dead afterall. As for USagent he is the new leader of omega flight(a revamp of alpha flight)the originals were killed with the exception of one.And as my counterpart just said my geek level has just went platnuim

I would love to see a scenario producer get the civil war idea into a series of games or just one game
