Hmm it was my understanding that there are women in masonry these days. I was only aware that you couldn't be an atheist.

humm...no comment. those arnt Christians. those are idiots waving the Christian flag so that they have a "reason" for their beliefs. I dont consider them part of my religion because if i did, id probably have to include the White Supremacists groups.

Hmmm they read and quote the same bible and profess to believing it. Take a look at history and some of the things done in the ancient past and the not so ancient past with the bible and christianity being tagged onto them (note the same can be said of several other organized religions too).

The difference between the christianic crusaders invading and slaughtering villages of people in the early part of the second millennium and islamic extremists slaughtering villages in the early part of the third millennium...the islamists use modern explosives which kill in the blink of an eye vs. who knows how much time hacking/slashing/burning.

No matter what belief structures there are there are always and have always been those who take it to the extreme. Extremeism has been evident in all religions, non-religions, philosophies, politics...etc. That is why I dislike generalizations so much. Like, "democracy is the best form of government out there". That could not be further from the truth. List how many long term democracies have survived more than a couple of hundred years? Heck though Americans spout the attributes of democracy most of Americans do not even realize we DO NOT have a DEMOCRACY. We have a representative republic. True Democracy is one step above Anarchy and a 1/2 of a step to the right of true socialist state. In a Democracy the citizens make the laws and rules in our country elected representatives make the laws.

Now I've gone off on a tangent sorry about that but you see my point about generalization?

True democracy in the age of computers and the internet does have interesting possibilities though...

If I take some $ and buy a website, can I be president of the "National Center for Paintball Studies"
