Markers that look REAL????

Ok I have seen on here and heard people and staff at feilds when they see a gun such as the Airakon S.I.M.-4 or any other marker that looks just like a real gun. Say I dont like it cause it looks so real. My question is why not? I mean a A-5 is an A-5 weather its right out the box or got an MP5 or AK-47 kit on it.

I am not a big speedball fan. So go guess I dont care for the blue, red, and crazy colored markers. But whne someone that plays woodsball says something like that it just leaves me thinking.

When your on the playin feild everyone knows its a paintball marker. So whats so wrong with making it look so real?

Just something I needed to ask.

I honestly love the way mil-sim guns look. The only reason I don't like using them is I do ALOT of running and with all those add ons it makes them pretty heavy and long. I just much prefer the lightness of a speedball just because it is easier to carry around and play with for me. But I still prefer the look of a mil-sim gun over anything.

Yeah I don't mind um at all, to his his own. I personly like a light marker, becouse I like to be on the move all the time. Some things like some of those rear stocks I don't get, some people have bottom lines and a stock, it just seems wiered. I don't like how people spend thousands and thousands of dollars to buy markers that shoot 30 bps at speedball so they can "look like pros" the pros have skills these guys that buy these guns don't. They get these upgraded guns and just spray paint, but then again like i sayed to each his own. To me if you like paintball (and aren't a jerk about it) then your O.K. in my book no mater what gear you use.

Amen. Thats a whole nother topic period. The marker doesn't make the player. I'll admit I've had grils beat me, little kids, old guys, pump players, and some rec players. If someone's better than me I'll admit it and compliment them.

You guys are right the gun dont make the player. But these guns that rep the real thing kinda add to the game when your in a big theam game.

My question should have been aimed more at the socer mom that drops her kids off at the feild though. You know the you cant have that marker cause it looks so real????? That along with some people that work at some feilds when I asked what do you think of this gun and I get in return I dont like it cause it looks like the real thing."Man its an A-5 in a kit" But yes each his own I agree with that. Just wanting to kknow how everyone feels towards the real looking guns?

Yeah, I agree with Rembrandt.. Let's look at this guy for example (from Kursk):

After watching this guy for a bit, he appeared to handle the marker pretty well but given a choice, I would definitely want to carry something a lot smaller and lighter.

Holly crap. LOL Well I will say this. Look at the way he is dressed. the gear he has on. Either he is in a form of military or he lives at a surpluse store. I know a lot of military guys that want a marker that feels like what they use on the battle feild. Kinda keeps then in check feel wise. Anyway to each his own but no need to have a freckin cannon on your arm
