I used to be a die-hard speedball fan, but now I almost hate it; being that I walk off the field with 10 welts that were shot by someone 10 feet away who was most likely shooting hot. (not meaning to down speedball for those who do play) I just think that it's not the very best image of the sport especially seeing professionals wipe, complain, and over shoot. -being that I was a stupid little army kid, I loved it and kept at it until I was converted to scenario play but any other little kid who saw something like that would be terrified and would probably never touch a marker. Scenario play uses much strategy and has the same adrenaline rush as speedball but is more calmed down and most of the time you walk off with only 1 shot on you. Everytime I'm at Triggertyme, I see newbies who have a blast playing against their peers and other adults and aren't afraid of anyone being that everyone is there to have fun -not there to light you up like a christmas tree.
Please know that I have much respect for people who play both styles. I'm not saying that speedball is evil I'm just stating my opinion based off of my experience playing both.
with Respect, Ben
"It doesn't bother you, killing those people?
-Well I wouldn't be very good at my job if it did."
