Someone Fill Me IN PLZ!

I was just watchiing some YOUTUBE and came across a scenario game (with airsoft guns) now without starting an argument with any airsoft junkies why the hell would you play with air soft guns (aka nerf guns ) when there are paintball guns! Do you really even know if you have been shot by an airgun....does it leave a mark???does it hurt or does it bounce off like a nerf dart???or maybe they dont like the way a paintball feels!!!?why I have to know........someone that has some knowledge on plastic b b' guns please leave a reply!!!! these guys where having a serious scenario game(and they dont even have to wipe paint off themselves to cheat!)!!!!anyways cant wait to get some feedback!!!!!

i have never played airsoft but once a month a group of people come out on a sunday to play at our field...i have seen the welts they recieve from playing airsoft and i can imagine they hurt...they make grenades from the plastic easter egg shells and either fill them up with airsoft BB's or most cases popcorn kernels, then they drill a hole in it and glue a firecracker in it...i guess if you're playing amongst friends the honor system would have to be used but in a big game where people dont know one another i can see alot of cheating happening...

They do leave a helluva mark actually...that lasts and lasts and lasts.. kind of like a bee sting feeling with a bit o blood and bruising when close enough....I can't imagine actually going out and trying to have a game of it but I am guessing it was invented for the wee ones or the wuss's that couldn't deal with real welts and good ole fashion pain for fun!! hahah.. Some of the weapons are quite impressive though ...I'll still take paintball anyday

i have been shot by them up close and personal by a friend who has a couple guns and they do hurt. not like a paintball though. I'd rather play paintball, the community and games are just more fun. i enjoy knowing that i can see someone get smacked in the facemask with a shot and see it happening. cheating would be a problem with that game, but oh well. I've won a couple airsoft guys over with our summer games at our personal fields so it can't be that great! haha

I was going to film a game at Wayne's World, but from what I have seen online it doesn't seem up to the safety standards of paintball.

One thing, not all airsoft guns are made alike. Some will barely knock over a tin can and some will drill a hole through both sides. I don't believe there is an airsoft gun with adjustable regulator.

The other thing, some players seem to be playing with nothing but shades on. Their is no mandatory eye or face protection.

I know when airsoft first starting getting played in Japan and service personnel were carrying the sport back across the sea, there was a video circulating the paintball forums of an airsoft gun buzzing cleanly through a pair a JT goggles.

i used to play airsoft with the spring powered manual pistols from walmart. They didnt hurt much at all...i doubt it would put a big ding in a tin can, however the ones that are co2 powered can be a lot more painful, and it also depends on the weight of the airsoft round you use
