WARPIG Tippmann C3

Tippmann C3

The new C3 from Tippmann is the paintgun that would make Hank Hill proud. Rather than using CO2 or HPA, this pump action paintgun is powered by propane.

Oho man Come on no paintball Gun could possibly ever work on propane.

Besides the paintballs would melt in the barrel.

This is Christmas not April Fools day.

Propane ... Yeah that will be the day.

Ho Ho Ho! Merry April Fools Day!

Although I don't quite get it either, here is the fools errand in all of its ugly pump glory!

All you have to do is hold a lighter in front of the barrel so that when you pull the trigger you'll have flaming balls. (Just a joke. Don't try this at home).

i dunno, i kinda like it. heck, when N2 was first being used everybody thought that if your droped it on the ground you would have a homemade bomb..now this can happen if you take a hammer and metal spike to one, but then your preety much screwed.

This is clearily a big hoax put on by the Tippman people. Propane is used for Stoves at tailgating or camping. But propane for paintball just a mirage.

If so, it is a somewhat elaborate one. I have been reading about this in magazines and forums for quite a while now. The logic seems to make sense to me.
I don't know about you guys, but we use to build potato canons all the time and use hairspray like most people. However, one day we got the bright idea to use a small tank of propane hooked directly into the canon.......needless to say, I stood quite a ways back, but it worked beautifully, even better than hairspray, etc. Now granted, that is a bit different than what Tippmann is doing, but similar concepts.

Now a paintball gun running on Hair Spray I would believe, especially if its the kind Oprah uses ...... but Propane out of the question.

Ok guys here is somemore info on this new gun.
The first link is someone who has one. his views on the gun with comparison to standard marker.

http://www.specialopspaintball.com/a...tippmannc3.asp

This link is the theory of operation for the C3. Has a moving picture and can view what takes place inside. Kinda explains how it works.

http://forums.paintball.com/lofivers...hp/t12765.html

From reading and watching the last link it looks like this pump is more like a automotive engine. with stages for ignition and everything. Its a creative idea I'll give tippmann that. All they need now is to harness some of exhaust gases to recock the gun for you before they are released. ( SEMI )
