Why not a kilt?

Gimpy, I thank you for your comments, and I do wear something under my kilt - socks and boots. And Jersey, you are right, but the Irish play uilleann (pronounced you'-lee-an) pipes, which vary slightly from bagpipes in that they are pumped, not blown into. They make a similar sound, but they don't have that one underlying note all the time. Bagpipes are played on St. Patty's day and when fire/police are in parade, but I'm not so sure what the origin is.

hurray! people that know stuff about my hertiage! O yeah, the difference in the sound is this: the irish pipes make a more melodic sound that is commonly used in movies and such. Like brave heart, i think they only played the scottish pipes once or twice, all the other time it was the irish because they sound alot nicer, but i like the scottish pipes a bit better. Nothing like hearing that drone starting up

I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing a kilt. I want one myself. The one i want cost about 300.00. Yes, i would play paintball in it also..

Actually you can get a decent kilt to play in, or to just hang around in from sportkilt.com. This is where I got the one I wear at the games from. Cost is around $70.00. Lots of patterns and tartans to choose from. Check them out.

After much consideration, I think I may make it a tradition to wear a kilt at every game I play in, though perhaps not for the entire game.
