The selection of your sacred gelatin shooting apparatus is a matter of personal preference. What do you want out of your gun? here are some general ideas.
tactical... sniper II, phantom
spray: angel, timmy, matrix, shocker
good mech: cocker preferably not the trilogy. get a pre 2k5 i dont like the built in three way. byuild it just the way you like it.

what do you want out of your gun? can answer better after we know that

If you want really good Cocker the 05 super stock is nice. I have a VF Tactical that I love. I would go with one of the WGP Cockers. Even the trilogy. I have heared good things about them.

well if u r new to high end guns, then you probaly want sumthing a lil simpler than a cocker, but if u like screwin around with stuff get a 05 or any cocker 4 dat matta, but if u want a quality simple to maintain gun, go with an ion.

Deffinitly the 05 super stock, the gun looks real nice, and there should be some nice upgrades availible for it in the future, and it looks like a solid marker, stock.

Well cockers ask for alot of attention, they dont like wen u dont pay attention to their details, but u probaly would like messin wit a cocker to shoot personally how u like it, by timing it and mayb screwin wit dat pressure once or twice in its life time. Now as far as ions go wit accuracy, ive shot a ion out the box (stock) and it shot pretty darn accurate, but doesnt beat a cocker stock wit accuracy, but with a few upgrades the ion could easily shot as accurate as any cocker. but it jus depends on ur shootin preferences, if wanna mess round wit ur baby and like givin ur gun attention every now and then go cocker, if ur a impatient fello and want ur stuff rdy to go evrytime u play i say go ion, but theres alot of things that vary in the to guns, i suggest u find sum1 with a cocker and/or ion and test shot them to get a feel.

I dont think they are. Clean & oil'em & there great. Dont mess with the timeing unless theres a problem. I have not had to do anything to the 2 I shoot all the time in ages. I set the volicety with the reg & thats all I have to do.
