anybody know what these things are?

Same mechanics as a regular autococker, but has been milled down and smaller frame to make it the "mini-cocker." I recommend getting a regular cocker though, easier for parts ect..

Darkcocker is right and they really are not that much smaller or lighter to make any real difference.
