Pneumatics

Ok guys I've for a long time torn the pneumatics off Cockers to make Snipers. Well now I'm wanting to make a sleeper cocker and I'm looking for some input on what are good front end parts. I'm looking for FUNCTION over Form, flashy parts are not desired. I want reliability over everything else this will be a gun I tote around and rearly use as a backup to my 2 snipers or on those rear days I want to "sling" paint so it will see little use.

I actually have access to a NOS STO front block with all stock parts that look pretty unimpressive (not flashy). Are the stock STO parts good functioning mechanical parts?

The gun I'm starting with is essentally a stock 2K+ RF cocker. The existing pneumatics are in a little rough shape so replacing them is most likely a must.

The only possible downside I see to the NOS front block is maybe the LPR, as it is not easily adjustable. Personally, I prefer either a Palmer or a Tickler. Either is a available in black. If you really want it to perform, add a Bomb 3 way and a WGP MP4 ram. The Bomb is fast as lightning and the MP4 has QEV's built in to make it even faster. Ultimately, it depends on your personal taste and wallet dimensions. (I have a Tickler & MP4 on my 2K E2A and it kicks monkey...)

If you have access to the STO pneumatics for free or cheap, I would try it out. May suit you fine. If not, you can change out the part you're not happy with.

However ditto on the other LPR suggestions...

I also run a cocker with all ANS pneumatics that I'm happy with. It's been pretty solid so far. The ANS parts can be obtained fairly cheap off ebay.

I'm new to the Belsales pneumatics...so far I'm happy with the performance, but I haven't used the marker long enough to determine if it's rock solid yet.

I had a cocker with shocktech pneumatics. The bomb 3way allowed for a nice short triggerpull.

an STO cocker was my first non-tippman marker. I have used the front block from mine numerous times, and for me, it blasts paintballs- and is terribly efficient in my rig. The STO front block would be a go.

Cocky has a basic black A.N.S. front end on him and he shoots as fast as I want to shoot. Nothing flashy.

But I agree that the STO front end is worth a try since you already have it.

My personal favorite setup is a bomb 3-way, micro rock reg, and 44mag ram by besales. I don't know if they still make the rams, but basically go for the fattest barrel ram you can find as long as it has a smooth action.
