I can't stress this enough, a cocker is a personal preference gun. You can "upgrade" everything on the gun and actually make it worse for you individually. I recommend playing with it for a while, decide what it is you don't like about it, then upgrade something to correct the deficiencies. I know of many people that have "upgraded" their gun and then found out they didn't like it, only to either replace the gun all together or return it to stock form.
I personally spent over $1200 on various parts and pieces when I bought my first cocker. Now it only costs me in the neighborhood of $350 to build one from scratch because I know exactly what works and what doesn't work for me.
