Question

I have a 2k2 STO autococker that hasnt been getting a lot of love from me lately, and im wondering if the valve in this is better than that of say a 2k2 Regular autococker (which i employ as a Sniper II) and if so me thinks the valve from the STO might find the SNiper II and visa versa.

Drew to be honest you do not require a fancy/super whamadyne (sp?) valve for a sniper II. The stock brass valve out of a 2K+ cocker is more then sufficient. The only real reason for needing a "better" valve in a sniper is to run ultra low pressures which does not gain you anything and destroys your gas efficieny. I set up mine for around 350-400 psi to get good reliable shot consistancy, reasonalbe gas efficiency and quieter report.

Hope that helps

low pressure and efficiency are not always the same... but all of my cockers/snipers are low pressure, most operating below 200 psi with great efficiency

I agree, that it can be done with proper tweaking and time...but it's easier to focus on one or the other. And LP just doesn't seem to have the benefits of shooting 5+ pods and a hopper on a 45/45, at least for me. And I really don't think there's much difference (if any) between the results of the two valves listed above.
