teaching an old dog a new trick?
OK fellows --
I got a very old school '94 Evo cocker that I have never been very happy wit that I picked up from ClayDirt, who also prefered his near stock cocker over the evo. I breakit out each spring when the woods thick up and punching through with my pump becomes frusterating. This year I put a pump kit on it with the theory that I would tune it to perfection as a Sniper II pump, then re-cockerize it. this is it (at the bottom) last year. http://www.scroadkill.com/player-profile-thumper.htm The body, block, bolt, hammer and 3 way were all BelSales I have a palmer rock reg on it that seems to do the job. I just replaced the hammer and main springs and as a pump it is operating at around 250psi. Im replaceing the unireg with a palmer fatty for consistancy and recharge reasons, and Im replacing the barrel system with a new style kaner kit. Im interested in a VF-T block and front shroud Im curious what a few of you think about a decent 3way and ram for CO2 at around 250PSI -- I would lean towards new Belsales parts but I know many of your hacks have opinions on these things and I would love to hear them. also :anyone found where to get the VF-T piecy parts?

Personally I would go with a Shocktech 3-way and a Free Flow or Besales ram. Basically you want the fattest smoothest Ram you can find.

I forgot to add..
Im not looking to max out cyclic rate - but reliable, easy to tune, and smooth are all important to me.
A quick look through pbreview suggests the 44 Magnum and hollowpoint 3 way would do the job. black ano. deep - I know you have a theory re. the shocktech - care to share?
