Valve problem

My valve is stuck IN my old cocker bdy. I need to get it out. Any ideas on how? Grendal, Thumper, Junkie, ANYONE?

make sure the set screw is removed from below hidden by the grip frame
and the jam nut - value tool required

then.. remove the bolt that holds the front block and a little spray oil in the hole and then use something that fits to push all the way through (wooden dowel? - Tinker Toy) - it is a common straight passage all the way to the IVG with the valve in the middle.

I havent had this problem, but the way the set screw scratches the bottom of a Rat Valve I can see how it could happen to me.

In past times I have used a dental pick in through the set screw hole to push the valve out, but this is usualy pretty easy.

Yep its a RAT valve. I have the jam nut & the set screw off. I'll try to pop it out threw the front. Thanks.

Any ideas where I can get a new set screw & jam nut cheep? I need a grip frame & old 23526 will be a Sniper. Old Cokers dont die they just come back as Snipers

John is right on how to get that stuck valve out.

Palmer sells the jam nut and set screws pretty cheap. I'd sell you a couple of mine but I just ordered them in from Palmer and have no spares.

Well heck I'm glad there are other people on here that can take care of these, at PBC now that Jami isn't around much anymore, all cocker work is sent to me, and it makes me feel somewhat important, and I also just like to heckle Skeeter since we always love to have our Mag vs. Cocker arguements

Ok, you find a mag that can out shoot a carnivore and we might have something to talk about...and besides I like being able to tinker with my cocker, its fun and gives something to do when I'm bored
