valve stem sticks

OK - so im workign on another sniper II - this one for Kyle.

It looks like it has a purple Shocktech Rat 3:16 with a little recessed area for the set screw.

I havent pulled it to see it has a front srping.

Any how, the valve stem sticks causing air to gush past the valve seal once every 50 shots with the hammer in the forward position. I upped the pressure some and dropped the main spring tension some and it had little effect on the sticking.

Im guessing a damaged valve or the little oring on the 3:16 valve stem is buggered up... or its missing a front spring..?

anyone have any ideas? (Im just being lazy and dont want to tear it down again)

I bought one off of ebay used and it had this problem (I was really ticked at the guy who said it worked). The inside of the valve body was scratched from the valve stem and would work sometimes and sometimes not. Hopefully yours is just the O-ring but you might have to get a new valve, I did.
