My Second job is that of a Gamestop employee. And I have to say it all comes down to the games you like.
If you like Shooter's you will generally draw to the X-Box. Halo, Gears Of War. The X-box controller is more natural to shooters. With the exception of a few note worthy titles. Socom comes to mind. Resistance is good, but gears has made sold more titles. If you play any EA sports... PS3 is the way to go. Plus RPG's. Sony has the market cornered on RPG's. As Nintendo used to be. Right now I have a guy that I work with that owns a PS3 and he hasn't played a game on it yet. He just uses it for Blue Ray. Graphics are great, but comparable to the 360 on duplicate games. Right now Sony loses money on every PS3 sold. Currently the games are either the same as the 360 or similar to the 360 though. As for price I mean people buy computer's that cost upward to $2000+ to play MMORPG games or Battlefield 2 on. So look at it like that. I won't lie to you that I like the Wii. Nintendo has a way of making games that don't really fit the mold. I think that's where they are going with the Wii. Course people have already started breaking their TV's by throwing their Wii Controllers into them. On a positive, Zelda is great looking. The Wii is only a game system so the bells and whistles are not the same as the PS3 or even the 360(where you now can rent movies off of). So when people come into my store to ask what type of system they should own I break it down into a couple of questions. 1. How much are you looking to spend? 2. What type of games do you play? 3. Are you looking for extras (entertainment system as opposed to a game System)? So there you have it. NAV OUT BT Nav "Which Way Did We Go?"
