Yeah I've played a PS2 for years before I picked up an Xbox. And The PS2 controller is really exactly the same layout as the PS3. I live for FPS games and some TPS. The Xbox controller just had a greatly better feel when playing shooters.

SOCOM is really the only game I have thuroughly enjoyed on Playstation, which I still play to this date. Great game, everyone they have released. It is really a great teamwork game as well. Not so much a run and gun like more FPS or TPS games namely on Xbox. But it is also not so much as sneak around stealthy game like the early Ghost Recons. It has a great balance of both styles of play which makes it very enjoyable. Every new version of the game never has a huge change in anything, there is always something small that changes that alters alot, which only true diehard SOCOM vets like myself notice. I know not many people like the game when they just pick it up, and most vets of the game like my self don't enjoy many other games after getting used to this one.

Same here. Played Quake 4 on xbox and got rocked. I can do decent on a PC.
The only game that I was able to aim decently in were the Halo series.
How is resistance? I'm taking it that's the PS3's direct competitor to Gears of War?

Yeah, it is the competitor for Gears of War. I've only played resistance a couple of times and it was good. But nothing beats having the chainsaw in Gears of War.

I got to play Resistance more last night, I did a little better with the controls. I have not really seen Gears of War other than the movie trailer. But Resistance is getting better the more I played it last night. It was hard to turn off last night, but I had to be at work today at 5am so I knew I was not going to be able to play all night!!!
