I too had to miss this one.I have read the complaints and the positives and I must say that the times I have played there have been some of the best.I am sorry for the ones that won't be back because PBC has the best reffing staff and field in SC.If it wasn't almost 2 hours from me I would be there every weekend.I would like to thank skeeter and brain for putting this event on for the price they did it for, wish I could have been there

Great time this weekend.Little hot,but other than that great time.Really liked how fluid the game felt. Were you could play at your own pace and not feel like you had to hurry up all the time.Refs were everywere and did a really good job.Cannt wait for the next one.

Command Posts'
Hey, I agree with the guys about Field 1 CP being hard to defend, it's like being green (not easy). Only whine I have about Ft Marble CP is that it's tiny. Perhaps when it cools down we can help the guys out with some modifications?

First off it was nice to get out; play some paintball; visit with old friends; make some new friends; hunt and be hunted by the oppositiong; and eat a side of beef at Brecks.
Thanks Tim and Tim (Skeeter and Brain) along with all of the staff at PBC for putting on a nice scenario for prices that would be hard to beat. The game (IMHO) was nice and simple and straight up so anyone no matter how experienced can easily understand the game and then figure out how to best their opponents. The Good: 1 - Great group of players I really had no (major) problems with any of the players. Overall I saw a lot of good stand up players who wanted to come out and enjoy a good scenario. I did have to gently remind some players on Sunday to ease up on the trigger and they all took the reminders with good graces. I did have to instruct some of my "team mates" the correct procedure for reinserting on Sunday but again they took it well. 2 - I LOVED the paint and I was shooting PROBALL. The paint never exhibited any bad qualities IMHO. Understand I played with a Sniper II and every shoot counted and I was single balling players regularly at 30 yds or more with resonable breakage. Why some players thought it did not break easy enough I can not hazard to guess. 3 - Simple straight forward game no complicated rules and Hallelujah NO MEDICS. [ Brain did admitt that he forgot to mention flags to the players during the safety briefing but oh well I think we figured it out anyway ] 4 - Full 4500 psi fills (after some maintenance) I understand and appreciate the stress PBC was under to try and make air fills go smoothly. There were some hicups but they were ironed out and I never waited more than a couple of minutes to fill. I know Brain has some plans on how to improve fills even better next time. 6 - The field condition is great. Every time I come down there has been improvements made to the field and this time was no different. 7 - JUDGES all of my encounters with the judges were very good. They were always courtious and firm. The Bad: 1 - I am way out of shape made even more evident by the heat. This is my problem though and there is nothing PBC can do to fix that. 2 - On Sunday the RT triggers and Ramping sometimes got a little carried away, I think stress from the heat and fatigue was getting to players. I personally can handle it but a lot can not and I do not like kids getting hit so many times. I had two occurances (sp?) where I was on the recieving end of excessive hits buy RTs. In one of the occurances I have, count, 17 bruises on my left leg, torso, arm and shoulder from my last elimination at less then 15 ft. I was hit with the first few shoots and raised my gun immediatedly but still recieved 17 hits (trust me my wife counted the bruises), not counting the ones that missed. I spoke to the shooter after the incident and calmly explained that that was excessive, unsafe and very unsportsmen like. He took this well and seemed embarassed, leaving me to believe this to be a one time offense. Guys/Girls remember this is a game of fun and there is really no reason to cause that much pain to someone. Learn to use RT and Ramping but learn to be safe. Now I took care of the problem myself since I was the only "injured" party and I can take a hit but what if your son or daughter; girlfriend or boyfriend was hit like this. Most people would have got angry and some serious consequences could have come out of it. I know if any of the Judges on the field had seen it the player at the minimum would have been ejected from the field and I'm fairly sure Brain or Skeeter would have kicked the player off field completely if not banned him. So is the risk of overshooting worth what you get out of it a possible elimination. Even given my overshooting encounter I had fun and would play with anyone who was there again. |

Well after reading the reply threads, and being on the blue team I had a great time and so did my team. We will be back for the next one and cant wait. The green team might have not tagged the pole of life but then again dont say anything when you are over shot. If you cant play by the rules then suffer the extra hits it takes to make you call your self out. I was over shot alot by the green team alot but I took the hits came out tagged the pole and went on. Remember if you cheat you never win in the long run. Even if its you running to get away from being shot for cheating. We all know who plays by the code of honor and who doesn't. So cry all you want about over shooting but if your not cheating then it should not bother you. The refs. were great and the paint. Skeeter and Brain great job cant wait for the one in Sept. Thanks for the great time and see yall this weekend. Total ambush hits 28 hit from the waist to the neck area front side only now we are talking over shooting and did not complain once, its how the game is played.

Just wanted to take a moment to say Thanks to PBC for all their hard work and for putting on an event that probably cost them money...As a field owner myself I know how hard it is sometimes to organize all the "different" personalities...add in the intense heat and it's a small wonder it went so well...At the end of the day it's "All Just Paintball...Tim your field is Soo "tight" I wish you guys were in Ga so we could play it more often...I only got to see about half of the stuff you had going on and I was very impressed...you have obviously spent alot of time, back breaking work and money to get it to this point...Thanks for putting up with Team Nitro and all the my emails and calls....hope we didn't cause to much trouble....my only complaint is it all went by so fast it seemed like we just started to get comfortable with the layout and all the nooks and crannies when it was time to go home....thanks to the staff and Archon for a job well done...hope to see you at some other event and maybe get to play together....Thanks Again Team Nitro/Canton Ga
