Be grateful I did not see two sets of feet in in the bushes, facing each other.

Loved the Proball, broken on anything including me.

The field as always was a joy to play thanks to Brain, Rasta and the rest of the people who worked on it.

I hope there is no lasting affects on Steve's hand.
Gotta give Skeeter mad props for hanging out at the field all day as the mad scientist.

I really liked the tree of life and the missions where based on something other than points. BZ Tim.

I had a great time this weekend. I enjoyed the unlimited insertions which in my opinion aloud you to do more stalking of the enemy instead of the initial on slaught of 20 - 30 players in a timed insertion.

The story line was a nice change from the allies/axis norm. Putting together the bomb and one side having to try blow up the others base at the end made for some awesome action!

The reffing as always was top notch. I saw active checking of chrono speed on the field and I saw a ref at every mission point.

Everybody I hit this weekend called themselves out.

The paint was very good. I only had a few bounces late in the day which can be expected given the conditions. It shot straight through my pump and semi.

Had a good (hot) time and really appreciated what a tight check was maintained on velocity (not too many bruises this scenerio). Food was great and cheap. Air station was awesome, filled quick and never more than a 4 person line. Pro-shop had just about anything needed to fix most problems. So many chrono stations there was never a line. And so many port-a-johns that even in the heat they weren't (fill in the blank). Suggestions for next time:
1. Give more background to the players on the storyline.
2. Refs should be a little more polite and courteous when talking to players.
3. Balance teams. Night game was off balance since the locals were mostly on one side and were at home for the night.
4. Balance the bases. Green had a fort on a hill with 360 degrees of walls. Blue didn't have a fort to hide in.
5. Move the main bases to opposite ends of the field. It felt like 90% of the time was spent in the Village, Castle, and Omaha.
6. More missions. It felt like just playing woodsball with a ton of people instead of having distinct objectives that could be accomplished each time out.

Thanks for putting on the event. Can't wait to play again.

Good points & we can learn from these...

We did post a history of "why" the Vetin & Sanu folks are at war again. It is in this Domination II forum a few threads down. A lot of players played in the first game, which gave them an advantage on "back story". Based on how close the point total was, we might have to do a Part III next year (Brain???)

The teams were very even at night. One team just played a bit more agressive. We might work on the base situation, but both bases can be taken. We have seen it happen more than once. The Sanu base is very defendable, you just have to know where to set up the perimeter.

The game was designed for a mission EVERY 30 minutes of playing time. There were also flag stations that were counted every hour that were worth points. Some of the best "scenariotastic" play happened without anyone firing a shot. If you are at the base, wait around for the next mission OR head out to hang your flag on the 9 flag stations that were in play OR help assemble the "device" OR look for props (gold bars, bomb components, and even one hide of funny-money...) that were in play. There was plenty going on... Just ask the mission refs. They both ran about 50 miles this weekend. Overall, this was one of the most active scenarios we have ever put on. The trick is finding the role you want to play & pursue those objectives. We actually had complaints one time (last year) that there were too many missions & not enough players or time to get them done.

You are totally right on the ref curtesty thing. I did have a ref who lost his cool for a few minutes. That has already been addressed. Since most of the refs worked for the whole event, the heat and action about destroyed them. By 11:00 am on Sunday, I was happy to have them breathing and on the field, even if one or two were getting grumpy.
