Anyone here own a PMR Rail
I recently bought one while out of state working. It's the SE camo version. I didn't feel like upgrading to metal parts. I thought it shot very well. I don't seem to be having the leak problems that others are. What are your thoughts on this marker?

I own the 07 LE..my son uses it as his backup...I have no problems with it now. The bolt was syicking on me but that was a maintenace issue. I love the gun...I have seen the metal frame and lite trigger..very nice.

I love my rail...but I added the UL frame and barrel. But, I still played with it stock for a little while and I loved it. I've had no problems with it so far(minus gas efficiency), but I know some people have had major problems with theirs. I play mostly tournaments and practices, and it keeps up with the egos, angels, shockers etc. that I play against. Congrats on your new rail.

Well I found I was getting better air usage using a freak barrel. I guess the better the paint match the better the air. I'm looking at a metal frame also. I'm not sure I want to invest that much yet. Maybe I'll find one on sale.

If you got and SE model it should have come with the metal backcap if it didn't you willmore likely than not have to upgrade that at some point...due to wear of the plastic thus causing it to leak.

I have decided to help with some of the issues that I see here,
First up: My bolt sticks a Little, Reason for Problem: If the marker sits to long or is inextreme cold the Lube will Coagulate a little therfore becoming a little thick. The Fuse bolt system (and bolt's simmilar to it) Are made to be Very close in tolerance so when the lube gets thick it stops the bolt from moving forward inicially. Fix: 1 When first shooting the marker bring a allen key(or other small rod) small enough to fit in the back Cap hole. what will happen is you hear the noid click but nothing happens. Just give the back of the bolt a tiny push forward and youll be fine as the bolt starts to move it gets that Lube moving around and wont coagulate while its being moved. I usally only have to do that once a day. during the first game or so. Fix:2 I know alot of us play scenarios just fire your marker once an hour if it is really cold out. Again keeps the lube from coagulating. Those of you with a UL Frame Becareful the frame may shut off after 10 minutes of sitting . Problem: Low Air Efficency Reason For Problem: It is my belife that All manufactuares set the Dwell High because if they tune the marker for optimum efficiancy at sea level those of you in California or Nevada or play in the darn mountins( remember markers shipped all over the world) the air gets thinner and could cause Miss fires or firing way hot. Fix: Unfortuanatly there is no LPR to tune on the rail but this can be a good thing to Trust me!!! Now what we want to do is go to the field and see if you cant use a Chrono for 5 or 10 minutes. Also Bring a Pad and Paper. Remember what your Stock Dwell is on the PmR I belive is 15 or 16 and for the UL frame it is 19 or 21 cant remember. Also dont know whay the dwell settings are differant. Either way, Open your grip and put the screws were you can find them later. Next set both DIP switches to the UP postion. Turn on board (should flash a bunch of differnt colors then go to a solid Green light) Next tap the Trigger once (now should be a solid red LIght) The red light means your in the Dwell Setting .Hold the trigger till the light stops flashing then Try pulling the trigger 15 or less pulls,Then allow the board to save (bunch of colors again) then reset DIP switch 2 to the DOWN postion, YOur ready to go,Now over the chrono Fire make sure your firing at the right speed. then shoot at something far away. See how the balls fly. If you thing you can lower the Dwell some more Repeat Process with less Trigger pulls. Takes a while but toatally worth it. ALso WHen your finished Write down your settings in case you have to change the battery. Also remember to turn the board off if you need to change settings again. and if gun stops firing Riase Dwell if you have any other questions SHoot me a PM. |
