Small improvements among generations. Its the same thing pretty much every company has been doing.

yes, but what is the difference between the new dm6 and the new proto matrix 6?

I realize dye and proto are different companies, but basically they are the same thing. So where exactly does the difference in those two markers lie? (not to dispute pricing, im just curious)

Drew

actually, Dye is like a big brother to Proto. All procedes that proto makes goes to dye, dye just needed a way to keep their DM series and create another mid range matrix. Check the comparison charts at the bottom attachments.

Thats for the DM4/5/PM5, the DM6 has:

Lower operating pressure (145 psi)
a self cleaning eye
newly designed solenoid
New designed grip frame
NPPL, PSP, and Mellium software
New Buttons on the frame
new FUSE bolt design
and is 1/2 in. smaller than the DM5
New milling

The Proto Matrix 6 has:
New low pressure bolt kit
Custom solenoid
improved LPR
Improved operating pressure (185 psi)
And its about an inch smaller than the PM5

I wasn't that big a fan of the DM5. But I like what they did with the DM6 a lot better, especially the flatter line along the top of the body.
I haven't looked at any Proto 6 pictures yet, so I can't compare anything there.
I see the DM line vs the PM line kind of like the Angel Speed and the Angel G7.
Sure, the cheaper one oerforms great, but if you want to be king of the gear hill, you gotta have every bell and whistle out there.

Proto is Dye...Proto is just the mid-range stuff, Dye is just the high end stuff, kind of like Dye make their own generic brand to make even more money...

Almost only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and nukes!

Exactly, Proto was created to replace the Excel line of products.
