New DYE Marker coming soon

A routine search of the internet found that DYE Precision will be introducing the DMC, which is a composite version of the DYE Matrix. Rumor has it that it's supposed to MSRP around $500, which seems to indicate that DYE paid attention to the raving success of Smart Parts' ION, an inexpensive version of the all-conquering Shocker.

The DMC joins the new Defiant from Bob Long as competition for the ION...looks like it's good to be an entry-level player in 2005!

I heard they were going to be more expensive, around $1500.00, due to the composite metals making it lighter/faster. Dye is selling the DM5's faster than they can produce them, so why would they low-ball themselves when they know that all the little rich kids will pay whatever it cost just to have the newest thing on the block.

well even if it is only 500 i don't think it will compete with selling it to newer player against an ion considering the ion is about half the price.

What Im hearing is the expected MSRP is about $1700. Probably run in limited editions, and they should be out toward late April, early May.

No price has been released from dye itself yet so chill with rumors.
