Eclipse News Letter

Well, it’s started.. the season that is…

And what a start! The Eclipse Ego with a little help from its Pro Teams at the first PSP event took three out of the top four spots.

Infamous beat the Russians in the final to take the first PSP of the season, with X Factor taking 3rd and 4th place going to Impact…. Not a bad start for their first season in the NXL. Well done to them all, especially Infamous !!!

Planet UK is closing….

Don’t worry it’s only for a couple of days. Its Easter weekend starting tomorrow so Planet UK will be closed. Friday, Saturday Sunday (As normal) and Monday next week.

Planet UK will also be closed on Friday the 4th April.... Sorry !!

New In !!!!

The long and painful wait for the Eclipse Distortion 2008 Pant is nearly over. Stock has started to arrive in the USA and the official launch will be Huntington Beach in about a week’s time. The Millennium series’ Malaga event will be the European launch and then stock should start hitting the stores soon after that. So if you lucky enough to be attending either HB or Malaga then you could be one of the first in the cool new threads!!

We have also started getting our spring launch gear. Again the launch platforms for these items will be HB and Malaga. You will be able to pick up.

New 2008 Jackets
New 2008 Mens t-shirts
New 2008 Girls t-shirts and vests
New 2008 Gauntlet Gloves
New 2008 White Elbow pads
New 2008 Knee Pads
New 2008 Overload Padded Jersey
New Egomaniac2 DVD

We should also have a few fancy looking EGO8’s on show at HB. Don’t worry, it’s not another Private Label. We just did a few show special colours and some look pretty sweet, so pop on over and check out the booth.

Overload Padded Jersey…

You’ll either love them or hate them, but they are here. If you chose to wear something like this or not, is up to you, but what are the rules for these different leagues?? Well, we didn’t know either so we did a bit or asking around and got a few answers. So have a look at the league you’re playing and see what you can and can’t do below. But no matter what your playing league wish, these are great for training and scenario ball. If I ever get my backside on the field again to ref I think this would be as about as important as my goggle.... Well, OK not that important but those kidney shots hurt man !

PSP – Approved, as long as it is the ONLY layer that the player wears under the playing jersey.

NPPL –Players may also NOT wear these types of shirts under jerseys that already have padding “ David Zinkham.

Millennium Series – Approved. In Ulrich’s words: “This chest protector can be worn both by females and males during games. The EPBF and the MS encourage players to wear protective gear to avoid any unnecessary injuries.”

CFOA – Approved. Here is the official statement from Joshua Silverman: 'Protective clothing such as moderately padded under-garments such as form-fitting shirts, slide shorts, etcetera are considered legal in the CFOA when worn underneath a jersey as the only layer of underclothes. For further, specific clarification players are encouraged to re-read the CFOA five-man and X-Ball rulebooks, available at our website, The Carolina Field Owners Association (CFOA) - Paintball Tournament Series.'

Planet Eclipse will not be attending the First Millennium event in Malaga, Spai,. but instead Adrenalicia one of the Planet Eclipse Spanish distributors will be handling the show for us. They will have a full range of the NEW Eclipse products and guns on show as well as the latest Eclipse catalogue for you to pick up there Free Of Charge and if you’re really lucky you might get a FREE copy of the EGOMANIAC 2 DVD !!

Have you watched the latest ETV, the Rich Telford (XSV) interview??? Download it now !

Nicky T’s Top Tip No. # 2....If you use a sound activated loader, such as the Reloader B, then make sure that you turn on your loader without any paintballs being in it and in a quiet place so that it can properly calibrate and give you the most consistent operation possible. If you are using a belt driven loader, then whenever you maintain it place some grease on the belt so that if you get a jam, the belt will “slip” as opposed to crushing the balls in your stack. Look after your balls and they’ll look after you!

To all our Teams, well done at the PSP, Good Luck at HB and Malaga and whatever other events, tourney or walk-on day you’re playing.. Kick A$$

The EGO Army Marches On !
