possibly getting an omen this weekend

well i went to my local pb store and they had them there for only 250. I asked the guy if i could hold it and he said yes. My dad saw how much i liked it and said an early birthday present if they still have em next weekend.

250 is not a bad price, but for that same price you could get a used Odyssey 03, the new ION and some other things. I was looking into the omen, but then realised that it was just a oversized spyder with the clam feed

it just felt really good when I was holding it; the only thing is the trigger was just a little bit small nothing much though.

As mentioned above, $250 is not a bad price. I would checkout pbreview first to see what other have to say. When it first came out (early last year I think) I was curious and read some reviews that picked on the Omen's regulator. I like the look, but don't know much about after market upgrades. The Ion has my curiosity peaked right now, and for $284.95 Actionvillage I would make sure you check out everything first (not just what is on the shelf at your local store). Ion= good company, break beam eyes, low price, ramping capabilities but 17bps cap and no upgrades yet. Omen=OK company (personally I am not to big on PMI markers), low price but not many features and no upgrades.

if i do get this omen its going to be getting the new type, the f1 or what ever its called, but i've got a weekish to decide on what to get, either way i am going to be happy with what ever i get.

True, just have fun shopping. If your dad is willing, get whatever you can out of him. If the shop is a store, or store and field, that you frequent often ask them about other options in the $250-$300 range (they should be happy to help). $250 is a good price, and buying at a local shop is always ideal (no waiting, no shipping cost, no hassles if there is a problem, etc, etc).

Yes Yes, get the Omen man!!!!!! You wont be dissapointed I love my omen, illl admit that when i first got it i had some minor problems, but customer service is the best!!! I mean these tech guys know there stuff, thaylll ship parts out to you in 3-4 days, what ever you need for your omen there get it to you, hell i even got a free barrel condom!! :icon_bigg Anyway back to the gun, Its NOT a suped up spyder, or even resembles a spyder, and its the CAM feed system that allows it to be virtually impossible to chop balls. It comes stock with a 95 dollar regulater, one of the best regs out there the Detonater. It has a nice on/off, closed bolt, with a back block, like a cocker. it has an offset feed so you can aim nicely down the barrel. You mentioned that you didnt like the trigger that much? I had the same feeling when i first got it, so i bought a Omni blade trigger. Its supper nice, and i just got my ccm no pro rise feed neck in the mail, so now my hopper is supper low, it looks sleek. A 15 bps cap is plenty fast for me, but if its not fast enough for you evil just came out with an upgraded board, de bounce settings, rof setings 5-25 bps, yep all the way up to 25 bps, you should go on the evil forum on pb nation and see some of the omens shooting with the new board, omg its friggin awsome!! At only 54 dollars the board is a very nice upgrade, me myself i hopeing to get the pipe kit, and the new board and cam arms in the future. I hope you get to testfire the omen and see what im talkin about, i highly recomend the omen, esspecially for the price its goin for now!! :icon_bigg
