I waited a minute on this one to let the good things sink in. but the only thing that really bothered me about the game was the lack of armband duct tape. THe dangling ribbons didnt do a lot for me. I dont know if this is standard procedure in PBC-land and im just not used to it. But I like the duct tape A LOT better. thats my .002 cents

I love the way you think. I already dug the T outta the fitting box with a nozzle on a hose to mount downstream of the cannon reg. Ordered a gas line shutoff too.

Maybe we should use different colored flashing strobe lights? just kidding trust me the Axis side had alot more friendly fire inncidents because the black and green is immpossible to see from ten feet against camo. But arm bands show up too well, So I say maybe the ducttape strip on the mask. thats my .0002 cents worth

I have several extra valves you could have. I would recommend using a tee after the valve to flush both sides of the engine compartment.

Let me explain. A lot of things we do at our field is due to experiences elsewhwere and improvements we think work better. For example the 5 man insertion rule eliminates the whole problem of having clocks (that may not be running at the same time). The goggle ribbon was started a few years ago after we were fed up with buying and losing expensive armbands. The duct tape didn't work either since it wasn't cheap and could leave naasty glue marks on clothing. The ribbon helped since it cost pennies per foot and since most players have 1 set of goggles but several shirts they wear in a weekend, it worked very well. The ribbon also helps you to identify teamates and opponents since the first thing you see is usually the head of another player.
The reason for the colors is simple. I am a firm believer in the Fog of War. I did however give the green and black to the Axis as an advantage ( I thought) since it would be harder to see in the woods. I admit I do not always do the right thing but it is with good intentions that I do them.
I know everyone that plays here a lot is used to them so lets hear from more out of towners on the subject.

Brain:

I understand the logic behind the goggle flags and agree with that logic. Probably would help if they were brighter, more distinct colors.

So there's my two pennies.

Na, lets just make the tanks tougher so the trees will run away scared

By the way as I stated in another thread I wished I could have stayed and enjoyed the rest of the game. The game, field, air, paint, friends and opponents were all great and I enjoyed myself greatly. The combination of Paintball Charleston, MPP Games, NPS, Robbie (air) and Upstanding players makes for a totally enjoyable event.

I really did not mind the tape on the mask. It was hard to see a few times, but it was not bad.

I'm cool with for all the reasons mentioned. I liked it, since my arms always break the duct tape anyway. A bit wider for people like me who wear glasses under a mask would help. I kept thinking of turkey hunting....'now what color is that gobblers dangle?'
