I also had a hard time picking up the tape on the mask. The night rounds where really bad may be light sticks (a color for each team) would help. But had a GREAT TIME and look forward to the next one.

Glow sticks defeat the purpose of night play, you have a dark black night with gow sticks floating around everywhere, no hiding...or sneaking...

Almost only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and nukes!

I understand the reasons and they are valid reasons, but im not used to it. So i guess its just my inexperience and half the time i was still looking for armbands instead of the tape just because i wasnt used to it. Just thought i would bring it up.

Alittle late on the post. But great field, game and players. I and the team had a blast this weekend. Cant wait for another. Maybe not the one in June..too hot. I think a different approach on the marking of the mask. Maybe something brighter or go back to duct tape on the arms. But it wasnt that bad of a deal.

Oh yea almost forgot. some refs need to learn not to be in the middle of a fire fight. You might get shot especially if it is close quaters combat like the castle.

First I wanted to say this was a great weekend.

Both teams played great. As for the Allies congrats guys, you earned it. Two big kudos, one to Ice for having the paintballs to take the General position, and one to Grumpy for being the best danged Comms operator I've ever seen on a Paintball field.

Brain you guys have a great field. As for the identification tape. We like the idea of it hanging from the mask, but the problem was the tape were too closely alike, and with almost everyone's mask being a darker color it would have been better to have brighter tape. That's my only issue with the tape.

As usual Ben puts on a stellar show, there's not more to say about that.

Lastly it was great to finally be on the same team as the Blackhearts.
Nav Out...

I believe you might have meant to say that duct tape "falls" off your arms?

While Calamari was collectively a little disappointed in ourselves for not slipping in the back door and wreaking havoc on the Allies, I've come to the conclusion that it's totally not our fault. The Allies claimed huge protions of the field early on and not only wouldn't let go, they kept up sustained assaults on the Axis base all weekend. Every time we got a mission one of us was sure to say, "Well, it'll be rough getting there, we're pretty well surrounded." The only way we ever got anywhere on the field was that our Axis teammates never stopped pushing back. I'm guessing this fact had a great deal to do with Grumpy's command and control. Absolutely incredible.
I'm guessing that every member of Calamari has pretty well the same views:
Grumpy is an amazing IntelO.
Thank God the other guys on Axis pushed with skill and aggression.
And damn the Tommies for their excellent play! You kept us out of our natural habitat in the swamp!

Ahhh.... Good times, good times.

Forgot my favorite part: These were the best refs I've ever seen at a scenario. Constantly checking FPS, always along on missions, popping up everywhere on the field.
I think they multiplied during the night game. We'd see one following every group of players, kept running across them observing major areas and still we'd see others crossing the field, trotting over to check on something. They were mighty polite, too.

No, it breaks. The staff tapes up my arm too tight and the first time I raise a brewsky it goes rippppp ( I was muscle head for 15 yrs....hahahaha here comes Junkie with a retort) and then later it falls off. Not a problem now though since the tank seems to hang on my waist just fine.

On the mask tape thing a better color diff and 2 pieces hanging like peach's ear rings:

so you can see a flanked players color. Just a thought. I like it way better than tape though. Hats off to you.

Interglacials are short and then we enter the nasty brutishness of the glacial periods.

You have no idea what a relief it was not having to worry about where you guys were the whole weekend. So glad it was the Allies problem.
