Google Earth has some decent lo-res sat imagery. And it's kind of fun to play with.
Better is a military hookup on a nearby base (or a pal at DMA).
The best stuff comes from county records: aerial photos, topographical maps, often historical weather trends. If counties would just mark where the Tommies are sighted for me, with troop strength, time and notes on aggresssion, I'd have all my work on the field done and I could just worry about shooting paintballs.

This is what happens when the OCD guy on the team is given the job of trend analysis and tactical review.

Its a little harder to do that when you are 7 hours away. But sat photos do enought to start to talk tactics.

Like where to shoot when the Brits are running back to their base.

Say "Vhat"

Alright, as the German General, I have to say I like this guy. Make sure you squids look me up as soon as you arrive. We have much to discuss.

Somebody start the pipes and let's go!

All right-o. For that certain other Squid who was giving me crap about using the term "Defense in Depth" I'd like you to note that I have been vindicated.

Though I have to admit, without close air support and naval gunfire, it is perhaps a bit misused. What I wouldn't give for an cruiser offshore with a few hundred rounds of 5" paintballs....
